Ye has unveiled the YEEZY 800, offering the first official look at the latest sneaker from his independently operated YEEZY label. Shared via Instagram, the reveal has sparked interest in what's next for the brand as it continues to grow its footwear lineup following the end of its partnership with adidas.
The YEEZY 800 revives the brand's familiar numbered naming system, a format closely associated with many of Ye's most recognisable adidas-era releases. The design takes inspiration from classic retro running shoes, a style that continues to gain momentum across the sneaker industry.
Dressed in an all-black colourway, the sneaker features a ballistic mesh tongue paired with textured overlays around the toe and heel. Nubuck-inspired panels reinforce the eyestays and forefoot, while loose, layered mesh creates a deconstructed aesthetic that extends down into parts of the midsole for a rugged finish.
